Tuckahoe Montessori School seeks a Lead Elementary teacher to join our thriving Montessori program. Tuckahoe Montessori has been serving the Richmond community for over forty years and enjoys a lovely location in the near West End of Richmond nestled in 4 acres of wooded surrounds.

Our Mission: We are a community dedicated to fostering empathy, encouraging global citizenship, and cultivating self-actualization and independence in children. TMS is seeking a highly motivated teacher who will be responsible for providing a nurturing, productive learning environment for our Elementary learners. The teacher will provide day-to-day guidance to the students and will be the primary resource for correspondence with Elementary parents. The teacher will also be responsible for collaborating with their colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units of study as needed and to play leadership roles in the school. A full job description will be provided to interested candidates.

Qualifications Education and Experience: • Montessori Certification from a Montessori Accreditation Committee for Teacher Education (MACTE) approved program (AMS, AMI, NCME, etc.) appropriate to Elementary level. • Bachelor’s Degree • Teaching experience in an instructional setting ideally with students of diverse learning abilities If you would like to learn more about the TMS community, please reach out via email to Amanda Edmondson at amanda@tuckahoemontessori.org In the email, TMS would like to see your resume as well as hear briefly about what you love about Montessori.
