Catherine Nehring Massie
She is the Founder and Director of Montessori Medical Partnership for Inclusion (MMPI), an international advocacy and support organization dedicated to expanding the inclusion of children with more diverse needs in Montessori schools around the world.
Catherine has been studying and researching Montessori education, Special Education and the uniquely powerful developmental impact of combining the two. She studied Montessori Education at CISM, Bergamo, Italy, and has a Master’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. Catherine has experience as a Montessori mom of 4 children, an Orff Schulwerk music teacher, a Montessori Elementary teacher, an Orton-Gillingham and multi-sensory Math Tutor, Executive Function Coach and a Montessori school director. She was a founder of two Montessori Public Charter Schools in Frederick, Maryland. Catherine has travelled and presented internationally advocating for the implementation of Montessori Medical Pedagogy and Montessori Therapy to support children with developmental and learning differences in inclusive Montessori schools. |
