National Montessori Education Week
If you are wondering about a series of special events Montessori schools, both private and public, are planning in your community, look no further than your State Governor’s proclamation of February 22 through 28, 2021 as Montessori Education Week. Families in every State are invited to join and celebrate an approach to education that is acclaimed as being on the cutting edge of today’s school reform. Although Dr. Maria Montessori developed this child-centered, individualized approach over 100 years ago, it has proven to be a true “aid to life” to children around the world. Montessori programs for infants, toddlers, early childhood, elementary, middle and high school prepare our next generation for a life that is not only built on solid academic skills and knowledge, but is also strengthened by social flexibility, emotional health, and self-confidence. Families are welcome to participate in this year’s Montessori Education Week, an annual event designed to promote increased awareness and respect for all children, our most precious natural resource.
