Ha'Penny Montessori School
Ha’penny (Pronounced Haypenny) Montessori School (HMS) was founded by Muiríde Keithley and her husband, Josh Keithley, in 2009. Muiríde, originally from Dublin, Ireland, moved to the United States in 1998. She has been working in Montessori for over 16 years with children aged 10 weeks through 12 years of age. Muiríde decided to open her own school after her first son was born. Her vision was to build a warm community where all children could grow and excel. “During my teaching years in the USA and Ireland, I found that many Montessori schools were getting further away from the original ideas behind Maria Montessori’s philosophy. I wanted my child to be a part of a community that was true to the Montessori method of teaching and so, Ha’penny was born.”
