Response to Licensing
To Whom This May Concern:
The Virginia Montessori Association would like to recognize the work done by the Virginia Department of Social Services and thank you on behalf of Virginia families and children. The Virginia Montessori Association has represented Montessori schools, teachers and families in Virginia since its inception in 2015. We have discussed the information with our national policy organization and do not have any comments concerning the recent review of General Procedures and Information for Licensure. We would like to become deeply involved and contribute to the work of keeping our children safe and maintaining the integrity of both conventional and Montessori school programs in Virginia. I would love to hear about ways VMA can become more involved in the work for Virginia’s children.
Respectfully,
Shanna Honan, MA
