Join us over Zoom as we dive deeper into the themes, ideas, and inspirations of The Child is the Teacher: A Life of Maria Montessori, the book we read as part of Montessori Education Week 2025. We will be using this discussion guide to steer our conversation.
Some of the questions we will be discussing include:
How does the concept of a prepared environment apply to modern education?
Dr. Montessori’s methods shift the role of the teacher from authority figure to guide. What are the advantages and challenges of this approach?
Dr. Montessori’s work was revolutionary in its time. What lessons can we learn from her determination to push boundaries? In what ways are we rigid or flexible?
