ALEXANDRIA The Aquinas Montessori School in Alexandria, Virginia has an immediate opening for a Montessori-trained floater/substitute to assist mainly with our primary program. This position offers a great deal of flexibility and creativity for an experienced teacher or recent graduate. This position can be structured to be full or part time. We welcome applicants with AMS or AMI qualifications. The Aquinas Montessori School is situated on nearly two wooded acres on property formerly owned by George Washington. Located in Mount Vernon area near Washington, DC, five minutes from the Potomac River and half an hour from the National Mall, we are close to the outdoors as well as to the best museums, theatres and restaurants. We seek an organized, warm, flexible primary guide with AMS or AMI qualifications who is authorized to work in the US and is able to communicate effectively and professionally with parents, students, and staff. A positive attitude and sensitivity to confidentiality are essential characteristics for the ideal candidate. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience and competitive with private Montessori schools in the area.
