Part-time Upper Elementary Spanish Teacher for grades 4-6

Richmond Montessori School seeks a passionate and experienced Spanish teacher to work within a rigorous, collaborative, and inquiry-based program. This is a part-time position. Responsibilities include teaching Spanish to elementary students grades 4 through 6. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for connecting with and guiding students; classroom teaching experience; fluency in the Spanish language; a positive personality with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues and parents; a commitment to ongoing professional growth; and a willingness to maintain and manage a positive and prepared learning environment where the whole child development focuses on each child’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. Bachelor’s degree required. Montessori training is a plus.

For over 50 years Richmond Montessori School (RMS) has remained dedicated to providing an authentic Montessori education in a student-centered environment and has remained true to the mission of its founders and the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori. RMS is dually-accredited by the American Montessori Society and the Virginia Association of Independent Schools. The school serves approximately 300 students ages 18 months-14 years on two adjacent campuses, which incorporate almost eight acres of beautiful green space located in the west end area of Richmond, Virginia.

The RMS team is comprised of over fifty passionate professional Montessori educators and support staff, fully committed to our core values of Character, Community, Authenticity, Respect and Excellence. We are eager to welcome someone into our community who will live the mission and core values of our school.
