Williamsburg, Va Williamsburg Montessori School seeks an experienced Infant/Toddler (18mos-3 years) certified teacher for the remainder of the 2018-2019 school year (ends August 9, 2019) with the potential of continuing in 2019-2020 school year. Candidate must have a passion for authentic Montessori education and value a collaborative school community focused on best practices and professional growth. Qualifications: AMS/AMI Infant/Toddler certification with at least two years of Lead Teacher experience in the classroom. Candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills. Duties include, but are not limited to: Teach and supervise all students in the Montessori method and curriculum in all areas of study. Prepare materials and maintain their cleanliness and good condition. Be responsible for the safety and physical well-being of all students in your charge at all times. Demonstrate the ability to relate joyfully to children. Exhibit emotional maturity and stability. Assume leadership by demonstrating appropriate and professional behaviors at all times. Be proactive at sharing your Montessori and child development knowledge with parents. Maintain prompt and appropriate parent communication. Prepare and have available weekly lesson plans and record students’ progress. Maintain ongoing communication with fellow teachers and administration on important matters. Attend all staff meetings.
