Fulton Montessori School is a small, growing, 501(c)(3) non-profit Montessori preschool program with a strong work ethic for equity and access that has deep roots in the Greater Fulton Hill neighborhood.
Using an income-based sliding tuition rate, FMS serves a wide range of working families and is proud to provide affordable year-round Montessori education to our community. POSITION DESCRIPTION
Willingness to commit to uphold AMI and AMS standards, as well as all Virginia State standards. Ability to make observations, record-keep and prepare and conduct 2-3 parent teacher conferences annually
Communicate with families via messaging system - including sharing pictures and providing updates as needed (at least once a week)
Provide toileting and sleeping updates daily per State requirements
Share workload with Assistant Teacher regarding all tasks, determining a fair balance
Contribute to school monthly newsletter Other duties as determined necessary for the well-being of students, coworkers, families, etc.

DETAILS
• Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm with a one, unpaid hour break daily
• Salary depending upon experience
• Benefits include 8 PTO, paid federal holidays, ~4 weeks of school-wide breaks, and employee tuition discount
• Immediate start date or as Late as August

Fulton Montessori School is also interested to sponsor certification for the Toddler Teacher position in exchange for a 3 year contract commitment for qualifying candidates.

• Bachelor’s Degree * Montessori Credential for Infant/Toddler

The Tidewater School, located in the western Chesapeake Bay region of Southern Maryland, is seeking a Primary Lead Teacher for the 2022-23 year. This 9 1/2-month position includes competitive pay, a family-friendly and supportive work environment, and retirement benefits. We are a small and well-established Montessori school with a strong sense of community.

The ideal candidate must be AMS or AMI certified with a Bachelor’s degree. Strong communication and organizational skills, an eagerness to work as a team member, and a genuine desire to connect with children and their families are key components on which applicants will be considered. An interest in multicultural and environmental studies would be a plus.
 
The Tidewater School has enjoyed serving families in rural Southern Maryland for more than 3 decades. We are a non-profit institution governed by a Board of Trustees. Our location, not far from Washington, D.C. and Annapolis, lies in a beautiful rural area between the Chesapeake Bay and the Patuxent River.

We are a small school with two Primary classes and fully enrolled Lower and Upper Elementary programs. Our facility includes outdoor gardens, a blacktop recreation court, and a playground. We have a wonderful library and kitchen space. Our students enjoy weekly lessons in Spanish, music, and environmental education at every level. We have a long history of weaving multicultural studies and celebrations into our curriculum.
