Hours: 8:00-3:30 Monday -Friday
Job Type: 10 months, full-time
Salary: commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Requirements:
At least 2 years experience in a classroom or daycare setting with children ages 3-6 years old. Must be 18 years old or older and be able to lift 50 pounds.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.
CPR/First Aid training preferred.
Teaching assistant will assist the teacher in preparing and maintaining the classroom environment showing a dedication to supporting the work of the teacher in the general supervision and management of a class of children between the ages of three and six years old.

The assistant is directly accountable to the teacher to which assigned, but may also assist others in any areas beneficial to the school.

The assistant will relate to the children with courtesy, respect, acceptance, and patience and have a sincere interest in the children.

A warm, friendly personality and the ability to work well with the children and other staff members are required.

Applicants shall have or be open to acquiring knowledge of Montessori philosophy.

The lead teacher and the school will assist in this, but each staff member is responsible for working to understand and expand their knowledge.

Applicants will need to complete background checks.

First Aid & CPR training is preferred and previous experience with this age group is required.
